- On the consent of the manufacturer self-rescuers with expired dates of use can be used as educational samples during studies and trainings, in the educational centers for preparation and retraining experts, at schools, in other establishments and educational institutions.

1.1. The description and characteristics of PHOENIX^TM

Filtering self-rescuer PHOENIX^TM looks like a hood with the sizes 465 ? 380 mm made of firm, transparent and nonflammable polyimide tape. At the bottom part of a hood there is a collar made of elastic and nonflammable rubber with an aperture for putting it on a head and maintaining hermetic sealing on a neck. The dimensions of a hood allow using it for people with any geometrical parameters of a head, including having moustaches, beard, long hair, wearing glasses.

On the front of a hood at a level of a mouth fastens the filtering-absorbing system of the self-rescuer. It consists of sorbent in a round metal box of 80 mm diameter and 25 mm high filled with combined charges.

Sorbent is fixed in proofing cuff made of polymeric material. Space between a box and proofing cuff creates the respiratory chamber of 35 cm3 volume.

At the top part of the proofing cuff there is an aperture of 22 mm diameter with a flange for bite-board fastening, the bottom part of a cuff has the valve for exhalation with bracket of silicon rubbers. The front part of a hood is located between proofing cuff and bite-board.

Soft-structured anti-aerosol filter is attached to the sorbent. Working surface of anti-aerosol filter makes 350 cm2. On the top anti-aerosol layer is covered with a coat of nonflammable cloth playing part of the pre-filter and protecting filtering material from influence of heated particles and flames; inner face includes a coat of a nonwoven material with good air penetrability to protect filtering material from mechanical damages. Between sorbent and layers of soft materials there is conic metal spring. Complete set also includes a nose clip with an elastic band for putting it on a neck in order to prevent its loss while putting on.
